Located on Manhattan’s 5th Avenue, this penthouse open space is a series of small outdoor terraced rooms with north, west and south exposure. Located on the northwest corner, the primary entertainment space has unimpeded views of Central Park, the West Side skyline and George Washington Bridge. Restrictive House Rules dictated the use of minimally sized, lightweight fiberglass planters and a removable concrete paver and pedestal system. The simple lines of the wrought iron furniture and mosaic tile topped table compliment the pavers and faux terra cotta planters. Well-placed wrought iron lattice panels, to accommodate flowering vines and planters along the north terrace parapet, are each filled with a decorative wrought iron topiary and seasonal annuals. The sparse composition and selection of materials provides a light and airy feel to even the smallest terrace.
