Located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side the terraced rear yard is truly an extension of this private four-story townhouse. The 850 sf three level open space functions as an entertainment space for both large and small gatherings. The outdoor kitchen with stainless steel appliances and gas grill is used year round and the cedar clad shed provides much needed storage for this active family of five. Rich in natural materials of bluestone, granite, wood, and evergreen plantings, this easy to maintain open space complements the grace and style of the home’s interior.
